I use my pencils to fight against inequality and to make visible sad realities like fatphobia or eating disorders, racism or mental health problems looking from a feminist, intersectional and trans-inclusive view. I always try to show my vision of the world from a realistic perspective and talk about troubles I’ve lived firsthand, so I can express myself with my lettering pieces and my illustrations. - Lucía TypesFluffy Omelet

Serena ConfalonieriDesigner and art director Serena Confalonieri took inspiration from graphic patterns, textile tradition and Postmodernism for this "La Sardina DIY made in 2023. In an interview, she talked about her specific design inspirations, and why analogue photography remains relevant to her.
Photography has always been an art form that I am very passionate about. In particular, I find analogue photography very interesting because for me it is a symbol of spontaneity. I relate it to moments of leisure and conviviality, during which I take souvenir photos with an analogue camera. The fact that you cannot decide to delete and replicate a photograph makes it all so real and direct.Aniek Bartels
This La Sardina DIY by children's book illustrator Aniek Bartels is sure to give you a warm, fuzzy feeling! The Dutch artist takes inspiration from her childhood to create art that "helps children express complex emotions simply and confidently through my colorful and humorous illustrations, aiding them in overcoming challenges and fostering their confidence."

Asia OrlandoArtist Asia Orlando brings funky jungle vibes with this La Sardina DIY customization, which she documented through a video, from starting out with sketches to the wild scene coming alive with colorful markers. Making use of the materials she had on hand, this vivid and fun jungle illustration is definitely an inspiring design!
